Julia Domna
Denarius struck under Septimus Severus A.D. 193-211 in
"Very Fine/Extremely Fine" condition. Julia is
the 2nd wife of Septimus Severus and the mother of
Caracalla and Geta. Obverse: Julia Domna's bust and the
legend; IVLIA AVGVSTA. Reverse: VESTAE SANCTAE; Vesta
standing left, holding patera and sceptre. Ref: Sear
1853, C. 246, R.I.C. 587, & B.M.C. 99. This coins is
a little bit off center, but all the details could be
seen. Ø about 17 mm. |
