OPEN AIR-SAFETY(lesson)
Goal:
- Knowledge about the things that may create emergency situations in the outdoor-life.
- How to prepare yourself before a trip in the open air, short or long trip
- How to react in an emergency situation and what reparingmeasures which can be necessary
- Knowledge abuot how to alarm with different signals, how to protect oneself, how to keep oneself warm and how to make it easier for the rescuers

Emergency situation; thinkable causes
Consequenses of the wrong preparations
Map and compass; to always know where you´re at
The "STOP-rule", the basic needs have to be covered
Call 112 - the cellular phone´s limitations, signals
Taking care of yourself - Hygiene, bleeding - important to stop
Shelter/warmth: effects of the cold-wind/moisture, general chilling, look for shelter, make a fire, fireplace - how to prevent a forestfire
Liquid: How much to drink, reactions on lack of liquid, purification of water
Food: The importance of the carbonhydrates in the body - what happens, how to raise the blood sugar-level
How to avoid an emergency
