Why become an HPI?

The Homeprotection has an important part in getting the people in the community interested to learn more, to make their own preparedness better.

The vulnerability of the modern society has increased the risks to loose electricity and other energies, plus water and draining which can lead to great stress for the inhabitants.

To get by this, the community need knowledge about survival, providing and how to protect oneself in crises or in war.

Today, big parts of the people have very little knowledge to cope with situations like this.

This is where the Homeprotection plays its part. Educated commanders and HPI:s can either through private efforts or through Civildefence-associations share their knowledge to increase the inhabitants interest to learn more about the possibilities to increase their own preparedness. This can happen through being a part of different study-circles or courses such as Self preparedness and Preparedness in the home (Living- and providing-preparedness, survival)
