1990
The B-boy
goes into a handstand and spins as often as he can on one arm. There are
two different ways of doing it. The first one is called "drilled
1990". You spin as long as you can and stop when you are loosing
your balance. The second are "1990 with tabbing". Here you spin
and go back into handstand and then spin again.
2000
2000 is like
1990 but instead of spinning on one hand you put your other hand on the
spinning. I think this is a lot harder than the 1990.
Backspin
You are lying
on your upper back and your spin is imitated
through continious swinging
your legs in the air.
Turtle
You are
balancing your body with your elbows against your stomach. Then you spin
or walk when you shift your weight from one arm to the other. The
weightless arm is rotated so you atempt to spin.
Hand glide
You are in a
turtle but only one arm fixed at your stomach. Your other hand is to control
the speed in your spin.
Head spin
You are in a
headstand position and spin on your head. You use your arms and legs to
control the speed. The hardest spot is to keep your balance.
Freeze
When you do
"the freeze" you stop the movement and you hold the position for
a few seconds.
Footwork
Your footwork
is the best and the easiest way to improve your dance. Itīs kind of easy
to get your own style. This is the most important move before you get
down on the floor. The steps is called, for instance, "six
steps" and "helicopter".
Windmill
 Itīs a
shoulder roll. You roll from your shoulder to your back. Your legs are
fixed and straight.
Halo
Like
a windmill,
but you are just spinning on your head. Itīs a litle harder than the
windmill.
Knee spin
Youīre just
spinning on your knees. One of the simple moves. A good advice is to wear
kneepads to avoid the pain on your knees.
Suicide
For instance a
flip and then landing on your back without hurting yourself. The move
looks very painfull and dangerous.
I hope you
donīt think this is all the moves from breakdance. There is a lot
more, these are just some samples.
