Above Hornberg is a ruined casle with a beutiful view over the valley and the railway bridge. It takes about 15 minutes to walk up to the cassle from the railway station.

DB Verkhersmuseum 100 years

Deutche Verkhersmuseum in Nürnberg has its 100 year anniverasary in the weekend of 16:th and 17:th Oktober 1999. The anniverary included a locomotive exhibition and a locomotive parade.

Bayerische Oberlandbahn

In Holzkirchen south of München is the head office of Bayerische Oberlandbahn. BOB operate the trains from München to Lenggries, Tegernsee and Bayrishzell. The workshop is in Lenggries. They had bought 17 Integral DMU:s for service. The DMU:s had a lot of problems and will be send back to the manufacturer for a year. In the meantime will the trains be pulled by ordinary diesel engines. They had plans to use this former Danish locomotives. Because of lack of time for education of engine drivers, they will use ordinary DB engines instead.
