North Racing: The Story.
The two cars that is showed above is the cars North Racing will drive through the 1998-season. Peter Nord will drive the #66 Ericsson-car and John Aelman will race in the #22 Compaq-car.
North Racing was started and established by Jens Nordström in late 1995, and he participated in his first Indycar Racing II-season the same year. For 1996 he decided to get someone else to drive for him, in order to be able to fully concentrate on the management of the North Racing Team.
North Racing contracted a rookie, Peter Nord, who performed remarkable good during the first 1996-season. For the second 1996-season it was decided that the team should expand and compete with two cars. Another driver from the same country, John Aelman, got the chance to drive the second car for the team, and proved to be just as exelent a choice as Peter Nord had been. Both drivers won races this year and finished in top ten in the championship.
The team changed their car for 1997 and decided to go for a Cosworth/Lola with Goodyear tyres. Both drivers decided to stay for 1997, but had no luck what so ever in the beginning of the first 1997-season. Due to craches and technical problems they both were down in the second half of the championshiptable when half the season had gone. But through exelent driving skills, Peter Nord ended up on third spot and John Aelman got up to tenth place once the cars reliability problems was solved. North Racing had once again proved that they were amongst the best of Teams.
Now facing the challenge to keep the good work up in the second season 1997, all team members seems full of expectations and high ambitions. Perhaps this is the year when they will end up at the very top?

And finaly, I want to thank Papyrus for giving us this great sim with wich I have spent so many hours.
