My name is Linda Maria Hallbäck, and I am an 18-year-old girl.
I was born in Sweden in 1980 and I have lived here all my life.
I live in a village called Skanör which is located on the south western most tip of Sweden. I think there are between 5- and 6000 permanent residents here, so it's not a very big place. However, we do get about 5000 tourists every summer. They come here for very diverse reasons, but many of them come to visit our beaches which are considered to be among the best in the country.
Right now (in 1998) I am a senior in high school and I'll be graduating in June of ´99. I am already dreading this in a way because I know I'm going to miss so many of my friends.
I study something called "The Social Sciences Program" which basically means that my main subject is sociology. This might sound a bit weird, but I actually like school most of the time. The subjects that I enjoy the most are English, history and sociology. I'll be going off to the United States next August to study at "The Women's College of Brenau University" in Gainesville, Georgia.
My aspiration is to one day become a lawyer, so I am planning to major in something called "Legal Studies & Conflict Resolution".
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and my friends. I also love travelling and seeing new parts of the world immensely. And, I enjoy writing letters and keeping in touch with my e-mail friends all over the world !! When it comes to sports I play golf, rollerblade and train aerobics. I also like playing volleyball and badminton.
