The specification of diffracting
groins (Section E in START.DAT) is quite similar to that of non-diffracting
groins.
Depending on whether the boundaries are open or gated,
this window will look slightly different (Section F + parts of Section
C).
The Detached Breakwaters window (Section G) displays
three Breakwater Type buttons
-
semi-infinite breakwater crossing the left-hand boundary
-
finite length breakwater entirely within the model boundaries
-
semi-infinite breakwater crossing the right-hand boundary
Only the lateral locations of the seawall(s) are specified
here (Section H). The cross-shore location is specified in a separate file.
Beach fills (Section I) are assumed to be evenly distributed
in space and time. Un-even distributions are represented by several fills
that may overlap in space and time.
