Here you can read about and take a look at my home stereo, which I think suits my demands quite well. A good amplifier that doesn't distorts the sound even at high volumes (which is happening now and then, although my neighbors doesn't always like it) and have a gently sound character . The same goes fore the compact disc player which has a big brother who is often used as a reference in high end tests.

Marantz PM-80 MkII is a very nice integrated audiophile amplifer for all kinds of listeners and demands. It has a generous power output and still very low harmonic distortion that can compete whit much more expenciver amplifiers. It is possible to run it in class A mode, which means that the amplifier only uses the most linear area of the transistor. The now selling equal product is called PM-78. Although PM-80 MkII is a little bit better according to data cheats.
